Important Usage Instructions

• Fill to no more than two-thirds of the 6.5 litre capacity, and only half for dal, rice and other foods that froth.
• Before each use check that the silicone gasket sits evenly, the safety valve moves freely and the steam vent is not blocked by dried food.
• Count the whistles rather than guessing the time, and lower the flame once the first whistle sounds so pressure stays steady.
• Never open the lid until the pressure has dropped — let it fall naturally or release steam through the vent first.
• Hand-wash the pot and lid, dry the gasket before refitting, and avoid steel wool on the stainless surfaces.
