Haier H43K85FFX 43″ DLED FHD Google TV

Haier H43K85FFX 43″ DLED FHD Google TV is for the buyer who wants the big screen without paying the 4K premium. From the eight to ten feet most Bangladeshi living rooms actually allow, a 43-inch Full HD picture reads as sharp. The DLED panel runs 1920 × 1080 with a 4000:1 contrast ratio and 300 cd/m² brightness — the brightest panel in this Haier range, which is what keeps daytime viewing in a sunlit room from washing out.

The viewing angle is 178/178 degrees, so the picture holds its colour from the side of the room as well as the middle — useful in a joint family where nobody sits directly in front. Response time is 6.5 ms, refresh rate 60 Hz and colour depth 16.7 million.

Google TV runs on an ARM Cortex quad-core processor with 1.5 GB of DDR3 RAM and 8 GB of storage. Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and Google Play come pre-installed, Google Assistant handles voice search through the Bluetooth remote, and there is Chromecast built in for sending phone video to the screen. A DVB-S/S2 satellite tuner sits alongside ATV and DVB-T/C/T2, so dish, cable or antenna connects directly with no extra box.

Running cost is the quiet advantage of this Haier Full HD Google TV: rated power consumption is just 74 W, which is light enough to sit comfortably on an IPS or backup supply during load-shedding, and the set accepts a wide 100-240 V input. Sound comes from 12 W × 2 speakers with Dolby Digital decoding and Auto Volume Levelling, and connections run to three HDMI ports, two USB ports, an RF input, a composite input and a headphone out. Anyone comparing a Haier 43 Inch FHD TV against another DLED Full HD TV should read those numbers with the panel warranty.

Important Usage Instructions

• Use a good voltage stabiliser or surge protector if your line voltage swings sharply in the evening.
• Do not place the screen directly opposite a window; reflections cost more picture quality than any setting can recover.
• Fix the supplied wall mount kit into a solid wall and leave a few inches behind the panel for airflow.
• Connect the dish, cable or antenna feed to the RF input, and use an HDMI port for a set-top box or player.
• Clean the screen only with a dry or barely damp microfibre cloth; never spray liquid or use cleaning chemicals.
