Hisense 277L TMF Inverter Glass Door Refrigerator Mirror Black

Hisense 277L TMF Inverter Glass Door Refrigerator Mirror Black is a 277 litre top mount refrigerator (TMF) — freezer above, fridge below. The split inside is what matters more than the headline litres: 158 litres of fridge space and 119 litres of freezer.

This model uses an inverter compressor. A conventional compressor runs at full speed, shuts off once the cabinet is cold, then starts again — and that repeated stop-start is what burns extra electricity and makes noise. An inverter compressor can slow down and speed up instead, so the temperature stays steadier, the running cost drops and the fridge is quieter.

Voltage swing is the biggest killer of refrigerators here, so a stabilizer is built in — no separate stabilizer to buy, and no extra plug and cable behind the unit. The condenser is built in too, which leaves the back flat: the fridge can sit closer to the wall and dust does not collect behind it.

It runs on R600a refrigerant and carries climate class ST, meaning it is rated to work properly between 18°C and 38°C — which is what our weather actually demands. Inside there is LED lighting, two glass shelves, three door racks, one crisper box and an egg tray, plus two shelves in the freezer. The inner liner is ABS.

Measure the space before you buy: 550 × 562 × 1695 mm. At 550 mm wide it fits a standard kitchen gap, but leave room at the side for the door to open fully. When comparing this Hisense 277L refrigerator with others, look past the litre figure at whether the compressor is inverter, whether a stabilizer is built in, and how much of the space is freezer.

Important Usage Instructions

• Leave a gap at the sides and top for air to move, even though the back is flat.
• Let a newly delivered fridge stand upright for a few hours before switching it on, so the compressor oil settles.
• Cool hot food to room temperature before putting it in — hot dishes make the compressor run far longer.
• Do not block the vents inside with tightly packed containers; cold air needs a path around the shelves.
• Clean the door gasket every few weeks; a dirty or hardened gasket lets warm air leak in and raises the bill.
