Jovision JVS-ND6606-HD 6CH NVR is the recording hub of a small camera system: six IP channels, 50 Mbps of input bandwidth and 40 Mbps out, handled by one box that lives beside the router. All six channels decode at 5.0 MP, 4.0 MP, 1080p, 960p or 720p at 25 fps, so cameras keep their native resolution instead of being scaled down to fit the recorder.

Important Usage Instructions

• Fit a surveillance-grade SATA hard disk of up to 10 TB before first use, and format it from the recorder's own menu.
• Keep total camera bitrate inside the 50 Mbps input limit; six 5.0 MP cameras at maximum quality will hit that ceiling.
• Set the time and NTP server first, because search by date is useless if the clock drifts.
• Leave the vents clear and stand the unit on a hard flat surface — a hard disk running hot in a closed cabinet is the usual cause of lost footage.
• Take periodic backups to a FAT32 USB drive or over the network, since the recorder overwrites the oldest footage once the disk fills.
