Kelvinator 268 Liters Direct Cool Top Mounted Glass Door Refrigerator

Kelvinator 268 Liters Direct Cool Top Mounted Glass Door Refrigerator is sized for a four to five person household doing one big bazar trip a week. Gross volume is 268 litres, split into 132 litres of net fridge space below and 114 litres of net freezer space up top — fish and meat above, vegetables, milk and eggs below.

Cooling is direct cool (convection) with manual defrosting, which is exactly why this kind of fridge is cheap to run: rated current is just 0.49A and the compressor draws 92W, working from a 220-240V, 50Hz supply. The compressor is an RSCR type and the refrigerant is eco-friendly R600a, making this a genuinely low-draw R600a refrigerator rather than a headline-only claim.

The door uses tempered pattern glass, there is a lock fitted, and the door swings open to 135 degrees so a big pot or tray goes in and out without a fight — a glass door refrigerator with lock is worth having where children help themselves. Inside, both the fridge and freezer sections carry three glass shelves each, plus a vegetable crisper with its cover, an egg tray and door pockets. A skin condenser dissipates heat through the outer shell, the gasket is anti-bacterial, and the unit is built for low noise operation.

Before ordering this Kelvinator 268 Litre Refrigerator, measure the spot: net dimensions are 577 × 634 × 1723 mm and packaging dimensions are 639 × 671 × 1771 mm. Climate type is ST, the thermostat is RoHS certified, the capillary is copper, foaming material is cyclopentene, temperature control is mechanical and the interior LED lamp draws 1.3~1.5W. As a direct cool top mount refrigerator it needs occasional manual defrosting, and in return it keeps monthly running costs low.

Important Usage Instructions

• Stand the fridge level with a hand-span of clearance at the back and sides so the skin condenser can shed heat.
• Leave it upright and unplugged for a few hours after delivery before switching it on.
• Defrost the freezer manually once the ice layer thickens; never chip ice off with a knife or screwdriver.
• Cool hot food before putting it inside, and do not block the crisper cover or the shelves with over-packing.
• Wipe the anti-bacterial gasket clean regularly so the door seals fully, and use a stabiliser if your line voltage swings.
