Kiam Heavy Dry Iron

Kiam Heavy Dry Iron is model ES-535 from Kiam, made for everyday pressing at home. Its ceramic soleplate slides over cloth smoothly, so creases flatten out without dragging the fabric.

This ceramic soleplate iron gives you 6 temperature settings, so you can dial the heat down for thin fabrics and up for heavy cotton straight from the knob.

On the safety side it has overheat protection, and an automatic indicator light tells you when the plate is heating and when it has reached the temperature you set. The swivel cord keeps the wire from twisting while you move the iron around the board.

When you compare dry irons, the checks worth making are the soleplate material, how many heat settings there are, and whether there is a safety cut-off. This model covers all three with a ceramic plate, 6 temperature settings and overheat protection.
