Mizuki IND-2 Induction Cooker Before buying, know how induction works: a magnetic field heats the pot directly and the cooker surface itself stays cool. The pot base must therefore be magnetic. Hold a fridge magnet against your pan — if it sticks, it works here; if it does not, it will not.

The strongest feature of this model matters especially here: it runs across a wide 100 to 280 volt range. Supply that sags in the evening and spikes without warning is what kills most appliances in Bangladesh. Over heat and over voltage protection plus interval overheating protection are built in as well.

Eight automatic cooking functions cover the usual dishes if you would rather not work out the heat, and ten levels of temperature and power are there when you want manual control. A four-digit LED display shows the current setting, and control is by sensor touch and slide.

Leave it switched on with no pot and it shuts off within a minute. Inside is a Siemens IGBT 20A; the power cord is copper with a VDE plug, and the top is A-grade polished crystal tempered glass measuring 340 × 405 mm. It runs on AC 220-240V, 50/60Hz. When comparing any induction cooker, look past the wattage at the voltage range, the safety cut-offs and the child lock.
