Ocean Air Fryer 4.0 Ltr, 1500 Watt

Ocean Air Fryer 4.0 Ltr, 1500 Watt (model OAF-8004P) is for the household that wants fried snacks without a pan full of oil. Rapid Air Circulation is the technology behind it: a 1500 W element heats the air and a fan drives it around the food, so chips, wings, nuggets, vegetables and fish crisp on the outside with only a light coating of oil.

The 4.0 litre basket suits a small to medium family cooking one round of snacks at a time. It detaches from the body for cleaning and is finished with a non-stick coating so food releases easily instead of baking onto the surface. The handle is cool touch, so the basket can be pulled out mid-cook to shake the contents without burning your hand.

Controls on this Ocean Air Fryer are two separate rotary dials on the front — one sets the timer, the other sets the temperature. Temperature runs from 80°C to 200°C and the timer from 0 to 30 minutes, and automatic switch-off ends the cycle when the time runs out, so nothing burns if you step away. Because the timer and temperature are on independent dials, you can hold a low temperature for a long bake or a high temperature for a short crisping run.

Two practical notes on this 1500 Watt Air Fryer. It is a mechanical model — there is no digital touch panel and no preset menu buttons, so you turn the dials yourself rather than pressing a chicken or chips icon. And it is a full-size unit: 32 cm high, 27 cm wide and 35 cm deep, weighing about 4.5 kg, running on 220-240V at 50/60Hz, so measure the shelf before ordering this 4 Litre Air Fryer.

Important Usage Instructions

• Preheat for two to three minutes before adding food so the first batch crisps properly.
• Do not overfill the basket — hot air has to move around the food, so a single loose layer browns far better than a packed one.
• Pull the basket out and shake it halfway through so chips and wings colour evenly.
• Leave a hand's width of clear space behind and above the unit; the hot air exhausts from the back.
• Let it cool before washing the basket, and never immerse the main body or the power cord in water.
