Rangs 1.5 Ton Premium Series Inverter Split Type AC

Rangs 1.5 TON PREMIUM SERIES INVERTER SPLIT TYPE AC (model RAC-20INVSH) is a 1.5 Ton cooling-only split AC, rated for rooms of 120-180 square feet. That covers a standard bedroom or a medium-sized room.

Because it is an inverter model, the compressor changes speed with the cooling load instead of switching fully on and off. The compressor is a KSN133D21UFZ (GMCC) inverter type running a 10-120 Hz frequency range. Rated cooling capacity is 5275 Watt for a rated power draw of 1740 Watt, giving an EER of 3.03 W/W. Cooling input current is 7.6 A, maximum input power 2180 Watt and maximum input current 9.6 A.

This Rangs Premium Series Split AC is charged with 0.66 kg of R32 refrigerant. It runs on a 230V single-phase, 50 Hz supply and is specified to withstand 130V-280V, which helps where mains voltage fluctuates. The outdoor unit is rated to operate between 20 and 46 °C.

The indoor unit uses a Wolong YYW35-4-5200A motor with 35W mechanical output and a rated fan speed of 1160 r/min, driving a Φ108 × 704 mm cross-flow fan with SAN 30% GF blades. Its evaporator has 2 rows and 16 tubes of DHP copper (C12200) at 21 × 12.7 mm pitch with 1.2 mm louvered golden-coated aluminium fins behind a mesh filter. Outdoors, a 2 × 26 tube condenser with 1.1 mm slit fins pairs with a Φ400 × 115 mm three-blade fan at 880 r/min. Comparing a Rangs 1.5 Ton Inverter AC comes down to rated capacity, EER, refrigerant and the voltage window.

Important Usage Instructions

• Match the room to the rating — this unit is meant for 120-180 sq feet, and a bigger room will keep the compressor working hard.
• Keep doors and windows closed while cooling so the inverter compressor can drop to a low speed.
• Rinse the mesh filter every few weeks; a clogged filter reduces airflow and raises power use.
• Install the outdoor unit in shade with clear space around it so the condenser can release heat.
• Let a trained technician handle the R32 charge and the electrical connections; never refill refrigerant yourself.
