Uniview XVR301-04F 4 Channel 1 SATA XVR

Uniview XVR301-04F 4 Channel 1 SATA XVR is a four-channel recorder for a flat, a small house or a single-room shop. It has four analog BNC inputs plus two IP channels, so four cabled cameras and two network cameras can run on the same box.

Camera compatibility is where this 4 Channel XVR earns its place. It accepts TVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP cameras with adaptive access, so analog cameras already on the wall usually work without being changed — the recorder detects the signal itself. If every analog channel is converted, up to six IP channels can be used instead. Audio over coaxial cable is supported for TVI cameras, which saves running a separate audio line, and long coaxial runs are supported for cameras far from the recorder.

Storage is straightforward on this 1 SATA XVR: one SATA interface takes a hard disk of up to 6 TB, and the disk is not included in the box, so pick its size from the number of cameras and the number of days of footage you want to keep. Recording resolution is 1080P Lite, 720P or D1, with a main stream of 1080P Lite at 25 fps and a D1 sub stream, and decoding covers 4 × 1080P Lite@25 or 4 × 720P@30 on the analog side plus 1 × 6MP@20 or 2 × 1080P@30 on the IP side.

For viewing, this Uniview XVR gives one HDMI and one VGA output at up to 1920 × 1080 and both run at the same time, with live view in 1/4/6/8/9 layouts. Up to 128 remote users can connect through TCP/IP, P2P, DDNS and the other supported protocols, so more than one person can watch at once. As a Hybrid DVR it also runs Ultra Motion Detection with VCA and behaviour search on four channels. It uses a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port, two USB 2.0 ports, DC 12V/1.5A power and under 10 W without a disk, and it measures 190 × 202 × 42 mm at about 0.6 kg.

Important Usage Instructions

• Install a SATA hard disk of up to 6 TB before first use — without a disk the recorder cannot keep any footage.
• Power each analog camera from its own DC adapter; the BNC cable carries video only.
• Convert analog channels to IP only when you actually need them — the total stays within the 6-channel IP maximum.
• Keep the unit ventilated between -10°C and 55°C and away from dust, and never block the vents.
• Change the default password on first login, then confirm the recording schedule and how many days of footage the disk will hold.
