Vision Rice Cooker 1.8 L REL-40-06 SS Red (Double Pot)

VISION Rice Cooker 1.8 L REL-40-06 SS Red (Double Pot) is a cylinder-shaped 1.8-litre cooker aimed at small and medium households, running a 700W heating element on 220V, 50Hz. It is sized for everyday rice, not for a banquet, which keeps both the footprint and the running cost modest.

What sets this Vision Double Pot Rice Cooker apart is that it ships with two inner pots instead of one — a stainless steel pot and an aluminium pot carrying a 1.2 mm non-stick coating over a silver base board. You can keep one for rice and use the other for curry or a second dish, which saves a wash-up in the middle of cooking.

The outer body is full stainless steel in red. The lid is glass with a plastic handle and two 6–6.5 mm vent holes, so steam escapes steadily and you can watch the pot without lifting the cover. A stainless steel steamer with a plastic handle is included for vegetables, pitha or fish.

Inside, the Vision REL-40-06 uses a magnetic switch together with a built-in thermostat that holds the heat at a precise and uniform level, and the heating element is coated so spills wipe off easily. Vision describes this Vision 700W Rice Cooker as cooking rice in 25–30 minutes and lists an antibacterial action in warm mode.

Important Usage Instructions

• Wash and drain the rice, then measure water with the pot inside the cooker — never fill past the top marking on a 1.8-litre pot, because rice foams as it boils.
• Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry and make sure it sits flat on the heating plate, or the magnetic switch will not sense the temperature correctly.
• Use a wooden or plastic spoon in the non-stick aluminium pot; metal spoons scrape the 1.2 mm coating away.
• Fit the steamer above the pot for vegetables or fish, and keep the two lid holes clear so steam can vent.
• Unplug the cooker and let it cool before washing, wash the pots and glass lid separately, and never put the stainless steel outer body under running water.
