Vision Rice Cooker 3.0 L Delight (Double Pot)

Vision Rice Cooker 3.0 L Delight (Double Pot) The most useful thing about the Vision Rice Cooker 3.0 L Delight (Double Pot), model REL-Delight, is the steamer that comes with it. While the rice is cooking below, vegetables, eggs or fish placed in the steamer above cook in the rising steam. That is two dishes from the same electricity and the same time slot, cooked without oil.

"Double Pot" in the name means two pots are supplied. You can cook rice in one and keep the other for a different dish, instead of washing and swapping between courses. On a busy cooking day that saves real time, and if one pot is in the sink you can still carry on with the other.

The usual complaint with any rice cooker is that the rice goes cold and hard after it finishes, or catches at the bottom if left switched on too long. This Vision Double Pot Rice Cooker has a keep warm function that holds the food warm and fresh once cooking ends, so a late eater still gets hot rice.

The body is stainless steel and the handles are cool touch, so there is less risk of burning your fingers when moving it while hot. At 1100 W this rice cooker gets through a pot of rice quickly. When comparing models, look past the litre figure: check whether a steamer is included, how many pots come with it, what the body is made of, and whether keep warm is fitted.

Important Usage Instructions

• Rinse the rice, then measure water to the pot's marking — overfilling is what makes a cooker boil over.
• Always wipe the outside of the inner pot dry before setting it into the cooker, so the heating plate stays clean.
• Put the steamer tray in only after the water and rice are in, and keep it clear of the lid vent.
• Do not leave the cooker on keep warm for many hours; the rice dries out and the base can discolour.
• Unplug and let it cool before washing; wash the pots and steamer separately and never immerse the cooker body.
